Care Ministry

At the United Methodist Church of Mount Vernon it is our hope and desire to encourage you in difficult times and to celebrate joyful moments with you, as well. We believe everyone can benefit from “being seen” and receiving care. Through our Care Ministry we care for and love on our congregation in a variety of ways, including:

Visitation ministry – at home, care centers, front porches, coffee shops, wherever you are most comfortable

Meal ministry – members of our church provide meals during times of need

Flower ministry – flowers delivered for any occasion or just to say we are thinking of you

Card ministry – another way for us to remind our church community that we care and are thinking about them

Communion ministry – for those unable to attend church and desiring communion at their home or care facility

Prayer ministry – we have a prayer team who prays over prayer requests and we are happy to pray with you during visits
